Party Like a Rock Star!

Our boy knows how to have a good time and let me tell you we have one worn out boy!!!  The weekend was filled with time with grandparents, a party at Granite City Gymnastics with friends, and of course taking time to enjoy all his new toys!  Happy Birthday, Cameron John!  We love you!

Garage Sale Finds

Cameron spent $3.75 this morning on two costumes and a set of lazer guns complete with vests with targets...he was very pleased with his finds!!  Cooper was thrilled with what Cam picked for him and they've been wearing their costumes all morning patiently waiting for the rain to stop, so they can head outside and take in some target practice!!

Anniversary Eve

May 20, 2000

It's hard to believe that tomorrow we celebrate ten years together!  It seems like it was just a couple of years ago that we were standing in front of our famiy and friends and Pastor Karen was teasing Bryant about yawning so much (too much fun the night before)...my how things have changed since then and also stayed so much the same.  We are truly blessed to be where we are today!  We still enjoy each others company, can tell each other anything, and above all can still be thankful that we found each other.  It may sound cliche, however I truly can't begin to imagine my life without Bryant.  He's stuck with me and I continue to look forward to many more years to come!

Kitchen Remodel

Before...
After...

Our kitchen project has officially come to a close!  YAHOO!  We are loving our new set up...I had no idea what I missing without a dishwasher!  As you can see we did a lot-so here's a list in case you miss anything:
  • partial wall and desk between the livingroom and kitchen was removed
  • wall put in next to the fridge
  • new lighting in the kitchen
  • new doors, painted old cabinet boxes
  • new hardware
  • new sink and faucet
  • new peninsula which includes a DISHWASHER
  • new appliances
  • granite countertops
  • cabinet above fridge extended
Quite a task, but so worth it...we'll probably stay here a while longer just to be able to enjoy it!  Next on the list of projects is the family room and Bryant's bathroom, however I'll wait a bit on getting this started since my dear hubby can only handle change in small doses!

Vinegar...

I've been trying to find a better way to take care of weeds in our play area that won't harm my kiddos and I found this....VINEGAR  I'm not sure if it will work, but I plan to give it a try.  Anyone ever attempted to use vinegar with success???

On our way to the concert...he was ready to sing!
Our Family
Grandma Jo and Grandpa Sid

Well, it's here...Cameron's kindergarten concert is tonight!  Cameron was up before us this morning, which is early since our alarms go off at 5:15 a.m.  He was sure that he needed to put on a shirt and tie this morning or his music teacher would be upset with him.  I assured him that she didn't expect him to be dressed up today and that waiting until the concert tonight would be just fine.  I realized this morning that he had outgrown his shirt and tie from Christmas and when Cameron couldn't find these items the tears started to come.  My poor boy, I hope he will survive wearing only a button down shirt and pants...nothing better than having a son who likes to dress to impress!  He's so excited and we're looking forward to seeing him sing the songs he's been practicing in the shower!  My parents and Bryant's parents are coming for the big event and after the concert we'll be enjoying a Dairy Queen cake per Cameron's request and in honor of Mothers Day!  As promised...the pictures are posted above-ENJOY!

My Honey

Sunday night at the Schreifels and my boys are watching Mama Mia for the 15th time...yes, it's one of their favorites.  In fact, we are all fans of the ABBA tunes and everytime it shows up on HBO we end up watching it.  Tonight as they were showing the marriage scene Cameron informed me that, "When she has babies you'll be a grandma."  I said, "Who's she?" Cameron's reply..."My honey."  Oh, my sweet boy! I can only hope that he will have a wife some day that is a true honey!
