Tooth #2
I woke up this morning to Cameron's announcement, "I was brushing and my tooth just came out!" We've been attempting to help this second tooth find its way out of Cam's mouth for almost two weeks now, so the fact that it finally happened is wonderful! I'm not a fan of teeth hanging by a shred of skin-UGH! The Tooth Fairy is definitely going to get familiar with our house. However, be warned that if you are naughty on the day your tooth comes out the Tooth Fairy will be sure to leave a note about your behavior along with a little money...just ask Cameron to show you the proof!

Growing by Leaps and Bounds...Literally!
Cam had his 6 year check up today...here are his stats:
Height: 48 1/2 inches (grew 4 inches since last year)-90th percentile
Weight: 56 lbs. (10 more than last year)
It's no wonder that we hear him crying in the night and wanting his legs and feet rubbed!
Dentist on Thursday...6 year molars are making their way in!

Wisconsin Dells
Our third annual trip to the Wisconsin Dells was quite the event...of course since we had eight kids under the age of eight with us that was bound to happen! This year the Legatt crew joined us (in the past it's been me, Diane, Cameron, Taylor, and Evan), so Missy and I packed her suburban with all our supplies and five kiddos. The ride to and from had its moments, but all in all the kids did great with over 11 hours of travel both ways. We had a total of about two hours of sunshine over the four days and we took advantage. The great thing about the Wilderness resort is that there is so much to do! They keep the indoor and outdoor pools so warm, that we had plenty to do no matter what the weather and we were even swimming in the rain. The kids had a blast and the moms all decided that this trip is all about the kids....so, we'll be planning our Mom Getaway real soon! Cooper came along for the first time this year and LOVED it! He is just like Cameron, a little fish, and tried his best to keep up with the big kids. I think one of the highlights of the trip for him was riding in the shuttles around the resort since he got to wear a big kid seatbelt! Cameron was officially over the 48 inch mark and took advantage of all the rides that he was too short for during our last two visits, lucky for him his buddies went along with him since his mama is more about the lazy river and the open-topped tube slides.
I look forward to next year and hope that Mr./Mrs. Sunshine decides to join us as well!

The Tooth Fairy Makes Her/His First Visit
It finally happened!!! After months of moving and checking Cam's bottom teeth-he finally lost one! Last night Bryant was brushing Cameron's teeth (we brush their teeth at night to ensure they are REALLY being brushed) and he noticed that one of Cam's adult teeth was growing in under the baby teeth. One tooth was much more loose, so Bryant and Cam fiddled with it for awhile trying to make it come out. After that didn't work Bryant asked Cameron if he wanted to attach some floss to the tooth and try to pull it out (we've been finding floss tied to the handles in the bathroom lately in Cam's attempt to slam the door and pull the tooth from his mouth). Cameron was up for the challenge, so they sat on the floor in Coop's room and started the pulling. Cam got nervous and decided to just let the tooth come out on it's own, so as Bryant was attempting to take the floss off his tooth Cam moved and POP! the tooth came flying out! Cameron had a complete look of shock on his face which turned to a bloody grin and then all four of us crawled around on the floor until we found his tooth. After that it was time for Cameron to put the tooth under his pillow and await the Tooth Fairy...Cooper, on the other hand, was VERY fearful of the Tooth Fairy, and I needed to lay with him until he fell asleep. Cooper has decided the Tooth Fairy is not nice and he does NOT want her/him to come into his room at anytime...we'll see if that changes! Cameron woke up this morning to a $5 bill under his pillow that he plans to use on our trip to the Dells in a week! :) My baby is growing up....

The End of Kindergarten...
Our sweet boy is on the way out of kindergarten...it's been quite the year and we look forward to summer!! We're proud of you, smart boy!!
Memorial Day Weekend
We had a great weekend...a weekend filled with summer firsts! Friday started with our first start of summer visit to the Sauk Rapids Splash Pad with the Lund crew followed by cuddling with my little boys and watching Stars Wars Phantom Menace. Saturday we spent the day outside mowing, weeding, and planting flowers and had our first dinner of the summer on the patio...grilled tuna steaks and walleye. Sunday we headed to Bemidji to go to my cousin, Kirsten's graduation party. We made time Sunday and Monday for some of the first fishing of the year...the boys truly believe that fishing is about throwing in your line and catching a fish within five minutes!! Not sure what they'll do when they partake in some "real" fishing! What a wonderful taste of what summer has in store for us in the months to come!
