 Cam in his new snow gear - ALL his stuff from last year is too small...he is truly growing like a weed!

 I've become addicted to the website, Pinterest, (Thanks, Kelly!) and I found this yummy recipe for caramel!  Here it is:  Take one can of sweetened condensed milk, peel of the label, set it in your crockpot on low and submerged in water for 8 hours, take out and put in fridge to cool (about an hour), open the can, and you have caramel!!!  Bryant tried it out on brownies and ice cream and loved it!

 Coop had to bring a poster to presechool about his family, including all our hands-decorated by us.  Bryant wasn't sure how he ended up with pink, but it works. :)

 We celebrated the first communion of our godson, Dylan.  It's so hard to believe he's a fourth grader! What an awesome boy he's become and we couldn't be more proud to know him!

I've been meaning to use these vinyl stickers for awhile, and I finally got them up.  They're not sticking to well, so we'll see how long they last! 

It's hard to believe how much can be accomplished in a week...and that's not even including school conferences for me, a busy week for Bryant at work, and school for the boys!  We're so thankful to have such busy, fun, and productive lives!  Enjoy the Thanksgiving week!!

Cute and Not-So-Cute

Cooper:  On a recent visit to my parent's house, we went for a walk in the woods.  On our way we found some white hair, in some of the branches, on the ground.  My cousin, who lives next door to my parents, has a Husky/Malamute, so we assumed it was her hair on the branches.  We asked the boys what they thought the hair was from and their responses were:

Cameron:  "I think it's from a bunny."
Cooper:  "I think it's Santa's hair."  (Coop's was our favorite!)

Cameron:  Cameron is required to go to "Power Hour" at Kidstop every day after school.   If he goes he's able to get some or all of his homework done, so he is able to relax and have fun when he gets home.  I prefer he saves the reading for at home to do with Bryant or me, but sometimes he reads to adults at Kidstop.  If he reads at Kidstop he needs to bring a note home signed by the person who read with him...I've learned I need to verify this information and I was correct.  Yesterday, he brought a note home that he'd read...let's just say it was his first OFFICIAL forgery.  "R.V. read with Cameron."  R.V. are the initials of a fourth grader and all info. was spelled correctly, however the handwriting was unmistakable!  Bryant and I are still deciding whether to be impressed with his ingenuity or appalled that at age 7 1/2 he's already forging information!

The evening began with some ghosts, eyeballs, candy corn bark, pumpkin seeds, and topped off with pumpkin shaped pizzas from Papa Murphy's. The boys had a blast and we're more pumped than ever for this year's festivities! After a quick dinner they (our boys and the Lund kiddos) were off to drive the neighborhood with Bryant and Travis, they stayed out longer than ever before. Stacy and I ended up enjoying some chat time, occasionally interrupted by some trick or treaters. :) The kids all came back to count and sort their loot and ended up with more goodies than they knew what to do with...here's hoping you all had a Happy Halloween!

In his Glory...

 

For those of you who don't know, Cameron is in love with all things hunting.  He is literally counting down the days until he can really go hunting.  The past two weekends Cameron has been "in his glory" heading to Blackduck with Bryant and friends, Faron and Jake and heading to Starbuck to hunt with Bryant, Grandpa Guy, Uncle Andy, Uncle Jay, Uncle Scott, and cousin Sam.  Cameron is happy just walking in the woods/fields, and was super excited to carry back Uncle Andy's pheasant this past weekend.  My boy loves his camouflage and bright orange...and is waiting very patiently for his first BB gun!

Date Day

Coop and I went on a date today to see Dolphin Tale. It was such a sweet story and I have to admit I was a bit teary during a couple parts. Coop looked up at me when I was tearing up and started to laugh!
Bonus: Coop picked out some Gummy Sharks that had juicy middles, that were supposed to be blood...they were a big hit!

Cam and Bryant went on a date to the Vikings game. Cam gave me play by play when he got home...if only they would have won! He did enjoy his time there and was very impressed with the size of the dome and that he got to have DQ on the way home! :)

Up to Date School Situations:
Cameron is in his 8th day of school and already whining and crying about homework...not the best start to the school year.

Cooper started school yesterday and can't wait to go back! He asked yesterday how many bedtimes until he would get to go back to school. That's a lovely thing, if only his big brother shared his enthusiasm!

Here's to hoping our school year is a good one for my boys, for Bryant and me, and for their teachers...only time will tell!
