Happy Halloween!

Our pumpkins...we were excited to get lots of seeds for baking!
The Sailor and the Cowboy
Nothing like getting pulled around the neighborhood and getting candy to boot!

Cameron was very excited to have spurs on his boots...a real cowboy! The jacket was my dad's when he was little and a fan of the show Hopalong Cassidy!

Coop is ready to ship out...the outfit was my brother, Andy's when he was the same age. We are being green this year recycling old costumes! :)

Miss Kitty and her boys...they insisted I dress up, too! This is what a mom comes up with last minute!

We had such a fun Halloween, it really makes a difference when it falls on a Saturday-so much more relaxed! We enjoyed the weather, made a menu of crazy Halloween food (see below), and enjoyed having our friends, The Lunds, over to trick or treat and play. Our boys were wiped out!

Our Menu:

One Mummy
(Chicken Cordon Bleu wrapped in crescent rolls)
Mummy Toes with Spider Web dip
(Cocktail weiners wrapped in pizza dough)
Baby Mummies
(Baked potatoes with the filling scooped out and meaballs, marinara, and sliced swiss cheese)
Witches Brew with Worms
(Lime sherbet, limeade, ginger ale, and gummy worms)
Witches brooms
(pretzels with fruit rollup tips)
Witches hats
(Peppermint patties with a chocolate dipped Bugle on top)
Melted Witch pudding
(Green pudding mixed with Chocolate pudding)
YUM!

The Pumpkin Patch

Our annual trip out to Collegeville Orchards was wonderful. The weather couldn't have been better. We found our pumpkins, walked through the orchard chomping apples, found beautiful leaves for Cameron's class project, and got a chance to pet lots of animals. The St. John's area is one of the prettiest places in the area!

SUE!

Today we headed to the Stearns County History Museum to see "Sue" the T-Rex. Cam and Coop loved the exhibit and as always were thrilled to be with their buds, Jake and Grace. After checking out Sue, we explored the rest of the museum and then took a stroll outside. Bryant and Faron enjoyed the thrill of the Vikes big win while we were at the museum. It was a great fall day!

Hanging with my Big Guy

Meet Sharky (orange) and Barky (yellow)
Cam and I had some quality "mommy and son #1" time. Coop headed to Grandma Diane and Grandpa Guy's house for some special time on his own. My big boy is off to kindergarten in two weeks...yes, I can't believe it either! It was nice for us to just hang out and have nothing but fun. We started yesterday with a trip to Petsmart where Cam adopted two little guppies, who he named Sharky and Barky...see the photo above. He is completely loving his new role as "Fish Daddy" and woke us up at
3:45 A.M to ask if it was time to feed the fish...I think we grunted something that meant NO!!! and luckily he fell back to sleep! After picking out the fish we headed home to set up their new home, ate lunch, and then headed back to town to see the movie, G Force with our friends, Jake and Ann. It was a cute movie. After that it was back home to relax before heading out to eat with Bryant once he got home by the end of the day Cam was pooped and slept soundly except for "the fish incident." Today Cam and I headed to Nisswa where we rode go-karts and took in a round of mini golf at the Pirate's Cove. We totally lucked out with the weather which was absolutely beautiful!!! Then it was off to meet Coop and Grandpa!
My baby is growing up...as he constantly reminds me, and I love watching him change, but there is still a part of me that holds tight to the memories of him as chubby little baby whose favorite thing was to sleep on his mama's chest...and who hadn't yet learned how to talk back!
My sweet boys-oh, how I love you!

As always a great night at the fair. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed the animals, a few tasty treats, and the boys loved the rides. A perfect practice before we head to the MN State Fair later this month! Can't wait!

We had a blast at Taylors Falls with the Popps! The kids LOVED their time at Wild Mountain. Cameron's favorite part was the go-karts and of course since he's a complete daredevil he went on every waterslide there even the one that went underground! Coop tried hard to keep up with the big boys and his sweet bud, Grace!
