A Taste of Summer...

Lilacs and Apple Blossoms

We enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Here's some of the things we accomplished and enjoyed:

Lots of flowers were planted in pots and in flowerbeds
Weeds were pulled and Preen was sprinkled
Watched Tangled with the boys and snuggled up on the couch
Seeded the back corner of our house and the new pine trees are looking great
Enjoyed dinner with the Lunds, Fernholzs, and Pringle/Weiber crews
Coffee time and catch up with Holly
Grape Italian Ice with Cam and Coop at Mr. Twisty
McDonald's picnic lunch at the park
Kung Fu Panda 2 date with Coop
Bryant and Cam hit some golf balls at Blackberry
HUGE water/squirt gun fight amongst the four of us...some how I ended up TOTALLY soaked
LOTS of grilling...steaks, veggies, and Juicy Lucy's
and last, but not least explained to the boys why we celebrate Memorial Day weekend

Party Time for Cameron...7!!

Jumps at Bounce Depot

You have no idea how hard it was to get one shot of Cameron...he was very excited to run with his friends!

Blake was winning big at Space Aliens!

After running at the park and jumping at Bounce Depot these boys were hungry!

First of let me say that I had NO idea how loud five seven-year olds could be and how much "poop" talk I would have to endure!
I picked up the boys right after school and we headed to the park, where the boys proceeded to run wild after geese and attempted to "catch" fish with Handi-Snacks cheese in the Sauk River. Then it was on to Bounce Depot where they jumped for an hour and left with wet heads, they were so hot they needed to water down their heads to cool off.
We ended with Space Aliens and a bit of game playing, dinner, presents, and cake. They all had a blast!
Of course, as the party planner, I rewarded myself with a Mike's Margarita within three minutes of pulling in the garage...a perfect end to an entertaining afternoon!

Big Sister: Lucy

Thomas is the middle name of our Great Uncle Ed, our Dad, Andy's middle name, and Cooper's middle name. Waldemar is our Grandpa Sharpe's first name better known as Wally, who I'm sure would have been thrilled to meet his namesake!

Spring!

Spring has sprung! Daycare was closed this past Friday, so Coop and I enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day together. We picked up Subway and headed down to Lake George for a picnic and to play in the park. We had a ton of fun and topped it off with both of us taking a two hour nap! It's so nice to get to spend time with my little guy one on one...even though Cameron and Daddy were very much missed by both me and Coop!

Lucy's New Look

My sweet niece, Lucy just got her first pair of glasses. She's adorable, but now she's also looking very sophisticated, too! :)

Spring Concert

Cameron's spring concert was very entertaining! He was all about singing in the first half, and then seemed to "putter-out" towards the end...maybe it's because his attention was on the cute girl standing next to him. :)

Florida 2011

Cam ready to snorkel! His lips were blue since it was our first day and only in the 60's, but there was no keeping him out of the pool!

Cameron remembered a picture of Bryant and me drinking out of a coconut on our last trip to Mexico...he felt he should give it a try too! FYI: a hammer and nail OR a drill are needed to puncture a hole in a coconut!

Fun in the sun and the boys' first experience with sunburn...we applied and reapplied, but that darn sun loved our pasty Minnesotan skin!

First steps into the OCEAN!

Just a BRIEF glimpse into our trip to Orlando and Cocoa Beach. We had a splendid time! The boys did great on the plane trips and were absolutely in awe of all the sites we were able to see in our short time in Florida. I will say spending eight hours at Sea World with only a purse was delightful...no diapers, no stroller, no bags full of extras! We can't wait to go back and spend more time watching our boys enjoy the beautiful sunshine and outdoors!

Happy Birthday to Evan!

My friend Heather's little boy turned two last week...he's currently celebrating with his family at Disney World! Heather and I had a great time making his cake!
