Birthday Time

Lucy made a cake for Dad and me to celebrate our birthdays. It was delicious and covered in an array of sprinkles!

Shop til You Drop!

I had a fabulous day with great friends on Saturday! Tara, Becca, Kelly, and I started with Charming Charlies, then lunch at Panera, next TJ Maxx/Homegoods, and ended in Albertville. Tara headed back to Little Falls and the rest of us checked out TJ in St. Cloud and wrapped the day up at LaCasita for food and a margarita! I'm lucky to have such great friends and shopping buddies!
I Spy, Tara...do you??!!
Charming Charlies-if you haven't been you need to put it on your TO DO list!

We had another fun time at the Sharpes celebrating Lucy's birthday.  We didn't have a ton of snow for our annual sledding competition, but enough that we were still on and ready to go!  Lucy's was this year's winner taking my title...well-deserving for the birthday girl!

Prepping for the Big #5!

Cooper is fast asleep, but we're ready to whoop it up in the morning!
Cooper's "princess" cupcakes...it is our understanding that he thought the girls at daycare would enjoy them.  On the way home he asked what kind of crowns I'd gotten, and I said I was going to make them out of chocolate.  Cooper informed that brown wasn't a beautiful color, but I said that everybody loves chocolate and he agreed.  I asked him what color he wanted the frosting to be and he told me a BEAUTIFUL color! :)  I asked what color is beautiful and he told me orange...I guess we all have our own ideas of what is beautiful! :)  The finished version is above and Coop loved them!
After the party side note (more pictures to come):  Cooper woke up on his birthday morning after I kept peeking in his room asking if there was a five year old in there.  He came out and had big smiles at all the decorations and then proceeded to go the closet and pull out the yard stick.  He put it up to himself and declared that he was five AND he really was bigger! :)

Derby is Done!

Preparing to share race day rules

Cam volunteered to read the game day rules to the audience. :)

Den 9

Grandma Diane and Grandpa Guy made it to the day's festivities. My mom celebrated her birthday at the derby! :)

Cam placed an average of the 3rd in all races which was a BIG improvement over last year. He was bummed he left without a trophy, but he and Bryant already have big plans for next year's model. We're proud of you, Cam!

Getting ready to blow out the big #5 candle!
Way to go, Coop!

I know most kids love sugar, but our boy is IN LOVE with sugar! The more frosting on the cake the better!

Our boys on the birthday throne

Coop and his buddy, Jack, from preschool

Coop and Nolan...best buddies at daycare and at preschool. Nolan's mom was Coop's nurse in the recovery room after his surgery in December. It was so nice for him to wake up to her smiling face!

Coop and Bennett...I think the gumballs are almost already gone!

Coop and Jay

Coop and Drew

Cooper had a great party at the Bounce Depot. The kids ran and bounced until they were sweaty, thirsty, and hungry. After all the bouncing it was time for pizza, drinks, cake, and ice cream. Coop loved sitting on the throne and opening presents with each of his friends. I can't believe our "baby" will turn 5 on the 24th!

Scary...

It's been over two weeks since I started getting sick and ended up barely able to move... The body is an amazing thing. Last Wednesday I couldn't roll over in bed and tonight I started the Couch to 5k program! Let's hope after I finish the steroids I'm on I'll feel just as chipper and ready to rock and roll! Earth Day 5k here I come!

Flowers thanks to Mom and Dad
