First Lemonade Stand

I headed to the cities to shop with a friend, and the boys and our neighborhood babysitter put together a lemonade stand. They didn't have a ton of customers, but they were happy with the few bucks they made...50 cents a glass and a free pet of our pup, Summer.

Dells Trip #5!

We had the best weather we've ever had on this trip!!! The sun was shining every day...a miracle if you know about trip #1 when Lake Delton disappeared! It's hard to believe that on our first trip Cam had just turned four, and now my big boy is nine. Cam and Coop are fish when it comes to water...they may have actually grown gills on this trip! This year we ventured into the downtown Dells for some sweet suckers, a walk on the river walk, and took a trip on an original Duck boat. Looking forward to trip #6!

Birthday Victory!!

First baseball game and first win of the season! A great way to end a birthday!

It's Almost Here...

Party prepping for Cam's 9th birthday! On the agenda for tomorrow:
Cam heads to the MN Zoo for a class field trip, chili dogs and presents at home, and his first official baseball game of the season! We'll be hoping for a win in his big day! Friday night includes: Zaffiro's pizza, Epic the movie in 3D, and three buddies sleeping over. Prepare for more pics to be coming soon!

The MS Walk was a SUCCESS!

Our team raised almost $2600 for MS! 

Thank you to all who supported our team.  It means so much to my family.  My cousin's twins are sporting our new shirts! Thanks to my cousin, Heidi, for making them in honor of her sister, Lindsey Ruth, who we walk for each year.

Coop on the Farm!

A message from Coop's teacher, Mrs. Mitzel:
It was a beautiful day at Nelson Farm! We were able to hold and pet chicks, a chicken, ducklings, baby geese, a piglet, a goat and calves. The hayride, rope swings and tunnel/jungle gym were also pretty exciting!

Sugar Rush!

Wow!!!

Only outside in Minnesota could I be pulling kids through the snow last Saturday and the next Saturday be watching them run through the water in their swimsuits! What a wonderful day! Garage is clean, I have a little pink on my skin from the sun, Bryant grilled delicious ribs, and Summer was finally worn out!! It takes a lot to knock a puppy out, and the sun did it! Let's hope our tired boys sleep in tomorrow, too!

Cheerful!

The 6th graders are gone for a few days on a trip, so I was able to paint in my room!  I was going for cheerful and calming...  It feels more like MY space now!

WTF?!

April 18th...makes me ill! Mother Nature must have a serious case of PMS!

Sweet Pickles??!!

"They're sweet pickles," said Cameron.  "Try them." 

This is what an older brother says to his naive younger brother while their mother is paying for lunch at Quiznos.  Let's just say that there was a lot of crying, freaking out, and food and water being stuffed quickly into Cooper's mouth to relieve the heat!  The poor guy helping me at the counter apologized for the food taking so long....he had a good laugh when he found out the crying was not from a food delay rather a sneaky older brother playing a trick!

I think Cooper has learned that trusting Cameron is not always the best option~

Summer Sunshine Schreifels

Our new girl has arrived! Summer was born on February 6th. She's a peanut with big paws at seven weeks old! Her parents, Eva and Preacher, were about 65 and 80 lbs. We assume she'll be a big girl eventually! She picked us today by walking right over to us with her tail wagging while her sisters snuggled in a corner together. She is already outgoing, so let's hope that doesn't mean trouble!

We have a hard time the last couple months since we gave up our sweet Maya. We're happy she went to a home with people who could be with her more often to help with her separation anxiety. I especially miss her since she was really MY girl, but I believe we made the best decision for her.

Dogs are truly the BEST animals and family members! Prepare to see a lot of our boys with their new "sister" as she grows in the months to come! Can't wait to spend the summer with Summer!

Spring Concert?

We had Cam's concert last night, but with the blustery cold it didn't feel much like spring! Cam did a nice job with his narration and was excited to be with his friends. We were hoping we wouldn't blow away on our way home! Our boy is growing by leaps and bounds....checkout our cutie pie!
